Administrative Interpretations of the Land Development Code
Sometimes the meaning of language in the Land Development Code is not clear and easily understood or there may be contradictory language from one section to another, and people are confused as to their development rights. In such cases, it is up to the Community Development Director, as the Code Administrator, to make a determination of the intent and meaning of the code language. When written determinations have been made, they will be posted at this site.
If someone submits for a building permit and it is rejected because the Code Administrator has determined that it does not meet the intent of the code, the person can appeal that decision to the Planning and Zoning Board. The person has 30 days from the date of rejection to submit an Administrative Appeal application.
